Born in Santiago de Chile, the composer, guitarist, songwriter and singer Daniel Puente Encina formed the band the Pinochet Boys in the eighties, who were later ordered to leave the country by the ruling military regime. On a search for new impressions he travelled alone to Madrid, London, Berlin and Hamburg. In the nineties he set up a new band: Ninos Con Bombas. They toured through the USA and Europe. In Germany they are known amongst others as the successful support band to Einstuerzenden Neubauten. Ninos Con Bombas has been awarded the John Lennon Talent Award (JLTA) in 1995. When the Ninos came to the end of their road, Daniel, Norman and Trillian carried on together and formed Polvorosa.
