'Celeb Rehab' Star -- WEED Should Be Legal

One year after Eric Roberts completed a stint in "Celebrity Rehab" for weed "dependency," the actor is back on the pro-pot bandwagon ... releasing a new video in the hopes of legalizing the green stuff.
Back before he sought treatment last year, Eric's wife Eliza explained how the actor "quit drugs and alcohol in 1995" but still had an "interest in weed."
At the time, Eliza said, "He uses marijuana as a medication. He has a prescription ... however, a dependency is a dependency and he doesn't want to be dependent on it anymore."
Now, in a new video for TellDC.com, Eric is making the argument that if booze is legal, weed should be too ... saying, "Alcohol has destroyed whole civilizations whereas pot has only made a few hippies happy."
He adds, "Pot remains illegal because no one has figured out how to make it profitable for the government yet ... it's political, not protective."
So we gotta ask ...
Casey Abrams -- Seeing Myself on TMZ Led to Me Become a Spokesman

Casey Abrams didn't plan on revealing to the world he was dealing with ulcerative colitis when he became a contestant on "American Idol" -- but then he became hospitalized, and saw himself splashed all over TMZ, and decided to speak out.
Abrams recently announced he's the spokesperson for a national disease awareness campaign called IBD Icons, designed to let people know that living with an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) isn't the end of the world.
Abrams tells TMZ he didn't know how to handle his disease when he went on "Idol," which landed him in the hospital -- and he read all about it on TMZ. He told us, "It's kind of funny that right when I went to the hospital and checked TMZ, the headline was 'Casey Abrams Hospitalized.'"
Now he's using his "Idol" fame to raise awareness about the disease, telling us, "I want people to send in their stories of how they overcome
it. I don't have the best speaking skills, but people know
who I am and I feel they might listen to a familiar face. I feel I have a responsibility to step up and talk about
this really graphic disease."
IBD Icons is encouraging people to submit their stories about how they are living with their disease at IBDicons.com.

Katt Williams' Replacement -- Audience Wasn't Feeling Him

The guy who will be headlining -- in place of Katt Williams -- says the comedian was trying something different Saturday night at the Improv in Ontario, CA ... and the audience just wasn't into it.
As TMZ first reported, Williams became belligerent with the audience and was asked to leave the stage -- and cops were eventually called.
But Maronzio Vance, who opened for Katt that night, thinks fans were upset because Katt wasn't his usual hyper self. "He was mellow, he was chill. He hadn't been on stage in two years."
Vance says Katt was upset he didn't get the chance to finish his show -- but when the cops get called to your comedy show, it's probably best if you leave.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords -- Honored at the Site of Her Shooting

The people who run the Arizona grocery store where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head have been so inspired by her recovery, they are planning to pay tribute to Gabby by erecting a monument in her honor ... TMZ has learned.
According to our sources, the bigwigs at Safeway in Casas Adobes are hoping to install 3 new flagpoles at the spot of the January 8th shooting ... to proudly display the U.S. flag, a flag with a congressional seal and the state flag of Arizona.
In addition to the flags, we're told organizers are hoping to hang a plaque outside of the store commemorating Giffords' strength and fighting spirit ... because the entire Tucson community is extremely proud of the fact that Giffords went back to work after the shooting.
A rep for Safeway acknowledged the plans are in motion, but tells us nothing has been finalized yet.

A woman who believes Lindsay Lohan hired a hit man to kill her filed a request for a restraining order against LiLo in Minnesota last week ... but it was rightfully denied.
In the documents, Kathryn Marie Hinich claims she read an article on TMZ stating Lindsay was trying to kill her, but that it wasn't "just her [Lohan]" -- she says there is "some sort of conspiracy to kill me."
Most of the paperwork is handwritten and indecipherable.
It's easy to see why the words DENIED ORDER were stamped repeatedly on the document.

TMZ has obtained the mug shot for Tiger Woods Mistress #4 Jamie Jungers -- after she was busted in Vegas early Friday morning for DUI.As we previously reported, Jungers had gotten into a car accident near the strip -- and after cops showed up, they arrested her for driving on a suspended registration, having no proof of insurance, and driving under the influence.
She was taken into custody and has since posted bond.

It's been 22 YEARS since Ice Cube left N.W.A. over a nasty money dispute -- but yesterday in L.A., the rapper still didn't want to talk about it.You may recall ... Ice dropped out of the rap group in 1989, claiming their manager had stiffed him out of royalties. The remaining N.W.A. members -- including Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, and MC Ren -- RIPPED Ice Cube in their subsequent albums.
The rappers seemed to bury the hatchet after Eazy-E's death in 1995 -- but based on the clip, it seems it's still a sore subject.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: I Survived Maria!

Arnold Schwarzenegger out bike riding Sunday in Santa Monica, wearing a shirt that says, "I survived Maria" -- the woman whom he betrayed so badly.But there's more to this story. We found out ... Arnold got the shirt last November, during a farewell party for the Governator's staff. The shirts were actually designed by Maria's staff, as a joke. The shirt they presented to Arnold had 2007 crossed out and 1977 scribbled above -- that's the year Arnold and Maria started dating.
And, we're told, Arnold and Maria are not at war. They're well along in the process of settling their divorce, and they speak frequently.
But all of this begs the question. Given the events of the last few months, should Arnold have worn the shirt in public?

The buses pulled in after Ke$ha's show at the Bayfront Park Amphitheatre -- and we're told, they remained parked there for hours while the singer's security team stood guard at the hospital entrance.

Ex-Chili Peppers Guitarist: 'I Fear I'm Being Stalked'

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante believes he's being "stalked" by an obsessed female fan ... claiming "I am worried that she is unstable and that she could snap at any moment."
Frusciante filed the request in L.A. last week, saying a 32-year-old woman named August Elizabeth Thomas approached him in 2010 in the hopes of writing a screenplay about his life ... but she wouldn't take no for an answer.
In the docs, Frusciante claims Thomas began firing off aggressive emails and letters -- described as "long, rambling and overly emotional -- and in some cases, she would admit that she is 'often drunk.'" He claims Thomas also showed up to concerts where his rocker wife Nicole Turley was performing to talk about her script.
Frusciante -- who played off and on with RHCP since 1988 -- says the final straw was when Thomas showed up to his home on July 28 ... and AGAIN on July 29. Frusciante explains, "I feel like I'm being stalked."
He adds, "I fear both for my safety and for my wife's safety. Given that my wife and I are musicians and often play at venues around the world, it is hard for us to avoid Ms. Thomas if she is free to continually show up to harass us."
Both sides are due in court later this month. Calls and emails to Thomas were not immediately returned.
Lawsuit: I Was Punched In the Face at the Playboy Mansion!

A famous German rapper is being sued for allegedly punching a woman in the face and breaking her nose during a party at the Playboy Mansion in 2009 ... TMZ has learned.
Alessandra Mendes claims she was minding her own business on the dance floor during a party for a beverage called Stander ... when some "drunk and unruly" dude named Giwar Hajabi -- aka Xatar -- bumped into her friend.
In her lawsuit, filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, Mendes claims she asked Hajabi to leave them alone ... but instead, he pushed her and pulled her hair. Mendes says Hajabi then, "stepped on [my] foot and punched [me] in the nose."
In her suit, Mendes points out that she is 5'4" and 120 lbs ... and Xatar is 6'0" and 235 lbs.
Mendes claims Xatar "had a known reputation for drunken , unruly and combative and violent behavior, but [Playboy, Stander and the party promoters] allowed Hajabi on to the premises" anyway.
In the docs, Mendes claims while she was bleeding profusely, she was "simply escorted to a shuttle bus" and taken to her car without any medical attention.
Mendes is suing Xatar, Playboy, Stander and the promoters for unspecified damages.
Attempts to reach Xatar were unsuccessful. Calls to Playboy have not been returned.
