So there he was ... some RIPPED 6'10" dude washing off his surf board in Manhattan Beach yesterday ... when all of the sudden ... we realized it was unemployed NBA superstar Blake Griffin!!!
Turns out, Griffin has been hitting the beach hard this summer during the NBA lockout ... and we're told the Oklahoma native has gotten pretty passionate about surfing.
Apparently, surfing does a body good.
