The prayer was led by an assistant coach from Nebraska ... who was wearing blue.

The "Shuck the Husks" pin refers to the University of Nebraska -- the lesser of Penn State's battles today.

Mike McQueary -- I'm In Protective Custody, Double Fisting Booze

Mike McQueary has reportedly informed the Penn State football players that he's currently in protective custody and "double fisting" alcohol.

According to PennLive.com, one of the PSU coaches gathered several players in a room on campus and allowed McQueary to speak to the team via speaker phone.

McQueary reportedly told the team, "I wanted to let you guys know I'm not your coach anymore. I'm done.”

McQueary also told the team he's not at the University, but in protective custody after receiving several threats ... and "double fisting" booze.

McQueary was placed on administrative leave earlier today.

McQueary -- who's married with a 2-year-old daughter -- is the man who witnessed Jerry Sandusky allegedly rape a young boy back in 2002 ... but failed to stop the attack and didn't report the crime to the police.

'X Factor' -- Contestants Claim Man-Eating Bed Bugs Attacked Them in L.A. Hotel

Several "X Factor" finalists claim they were nearly eaten alive at their L.A. hotel this week, TMZ has learned -- after a swarm of bloodthirsty bed bugs feasted on their flesh ... while they slept.

Sources close to the contestants tell TMZ, the unidentified singers in question were staying at the Grafton Hotel ... and when four of them woke up in the morning, they were covered in bites.

We're told the contestants did a little digging and claim they discovered the hotel had a massive bed bug infestation -- so they bailed asap, and notified "X Factor" producers ... who then dealt with the hotel and found new digs for the singers.

Sources connected to production say the hotel acknowledged the bed bug problem. A rep for the Grafton had no comment when we called.

Wilson Ramos -- Rescued After Kidnapping

Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was reunited with his family today in Venezuela after he was rescued following his kidnapping earlier this week. 

Five men were arrested in the kidnapping, but authorities did not release if anyone was wounded in the rescue. 

Ramos told a local television station, "They simply told me to cooperate, that they were going to ask for a ton of cash for me."

He added, "The truth is I'm still very nervous, but thanks to God everything turned out well."

Rapper Juelz Santana -- Arrested for Making Terrorist Threats

Rapper Juelz Santana was arrested this week in New Jersey on suspicion of making terrorist threats ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources wouldn't specify what constituted the threats, but they tell us, Juelz -- real name LaRon James -- was also booked for disorderly conduct.

According to law enforcement, the rapper refused to let officers search his vehicle, which was later impounded by cops.

Juelz was released hours later on $46,500 bail. Calls to his reps were not returned.

Dr. Conrad Murray: Why I Didn't Call 911 Right Away

Dr. Conrad Murray says he didn't call 911 right away the morning Michael Jackson died because he is a "trained" cardiologist -- and he could do whatever paramedics could do.

Murray made that boastful statement during a strategy session, and appears in the documentary, "Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship" ... which first aired in the U.K. on Thursday night. However, this footage did not air in the U.S. version which aired Friday night on MSNBC.

Murray's delay in calling 911 was a key topic during his manslaughter trial -- but ultimately, his attorneys never put on any evidence to support the explanation Murray mentions in the documentary.

The doc goes on to say he would have quit working for MJ if he woke up that morning -- because Murray believes what happened to Jackson was the result of "his own hands."
