Steven Tyler -- I Did NOT Fall Off the Wagon

Steven Tyler claims he did not fall off the wagon before he fell on his face in the shower this week ... but says he understands why people might not believe him.

Tyler -- who went public about his issues with substance abuse in the past -- called in to the "Today' show this morning to talk to Matt Lauer about rumors he was using again.

Tyler responded, "I get that people think that ... It still bothers me a little, but it's something that I have to deal with for the rest of my life."

He added, "We flew last night from Paraguay after that incident and we're in Argentina for two hours. And anyone who knows anyone who uses substances wouldn't be up at this hour having a talk with Matt Lauer and the rest of America."

Moments later, Matt asked, "But you're clean and sober, that's not the issue?"

Tyler replied, "No, it's not the issue."

Propofol Expert -- Dr. Paul White Testifies

Anesthesiologist and Propofol expert  Dr. Paul White -- the defense team's final witness -- has altered his original claim that Michael Jackson could have died from ingesting Propofol.

White just testified, claiming his initial theory that swallowing Propofol could have been fatal for the singer -- a theory he included in a prior report for the defense attorneys -- was just a plausible suggestion ... not a foregone conclusion.

During opening statements, the defense argued the The King of Pop may have killed himself by ingesting Propofol ... but has since dropped the claim after a study revealed drinking the anesthetic would not be fatal.

Other highlights:
* Defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan addressed what he called the "elephant in room," asking Dr. White whether he could justify administering Propofol, and then leaving the patient. White answered, "Absolutely not."
* White said he wouldn't expect Jackson to have died from the amount of Propofol Murray claims he gave the singer.

Hours before Michael Lohan was re-arrested in Tampa last night for allegedly harassing his GF Kate Major, the man got real loose at his hotel bar -- belting out "American Pie" on the karaoke machine -- and the video is hilarious.

As we first reported, MiLo was arrested at the hotel soon after -- but not before allegedly trying to flee from cops by hopping his 3rd floor balcony ... and plummeting 34 feet to the ground.

Can music save his mortal soul?

Omar Sharif Slaps Woman at Qatar Film Festival [VIDEO]

Hollywood legend Omar Sharif lost his cool at a film festival in Qatar this morning ... and angrily slapped a woman right on the red carpet.

Sharif was at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival for a screening of one of his movies ... when a woman approached him on the red carpet ... and tried to take a picture with the 79-year-old actor.

Sharif -- who was nominated for an Oscar in 1962 for his role in "Lawrence of Arabia" -- lashed out in Arabic ... telling the woman to wait her turn ... and then slapping her. 

Moments later, the woman smiled and posed for a photo with Sharif like nothing ever happened.

Watching from the video, it's unclear if Sharif made contact with the woman's face -- but one reporter who was at the scene tweeted, "Omar Sharif just hit a woman. Very stupidly, in front of a camera."

Sharif has a long history of getting physical with people -- back in 2003, he attacked a cop in a Paris casino and in 2007, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery for beating up a Beverly Hills parking attendant.

Calls to Sharif's camp have not been returned.

Terrell Owens 911 Call -- Alleged Suicide Attempt

TMZ has obtained the 911 call placed moments before Terrell Owens was rushed to an L.A. hospital for a possible pill overdose on October 6 -- and according to Terrell's assistant, T.O. was trying to kill himself.

During the call, placed at 11:02 PM, the dispatcher asks the assistant on the phone, "Was this a suicide attempt?" -- and she responds, "Yes, I believe so."

While she was on the phone with the dispatcher, the woman claims T.O. was "talking to his girlfriend, ex-girlfriend ... [I]don't really know what you wanna call it."

T.O.'s rep declined to comment.

T.O. was famously hospitalized back in 2006 for a similar incident -- when he insisted he had a bad reaction to painkillers ... despite reports he tried to commit suicide by swallowing 35 Vicodin pills.

T.O. later held a news conference on the matter and stated, "The rumor of me taking 35 pills, I think is absurd. I don't think I would be here if I had taken 35 pills."

Marie Osmond Rushed to Hospital -- Bad Lung Problem

Marie Osmond made a beeline for the ER last night after her Vegas show -- and was diagnosed with a bad case of bronchitis ... TMZ has learned.

Osmond's rep Alan Nierob tells TMZ ... Marie has a "bad lung problem" and was released from the hospital after a couple of hours. She is currently seeing doctors.

It's unclear whether her condition will affect her Las Vegas show, but a box office rep at the Flamingo -- where Marie performs -- tells us, Marie is still scheduled to appear tonight.
